Editorial Standards
How every verdict is made.
These standards apply to editorial investigations published under The Bald Studio, The Bald Explorer, and The Bald AI. Commissioned campaigns operate separately and cannot purchase favourable editorial conclusions. They are not aspirations — every verdict in the archive can be checked against them.
01 · How investigations are conducted
Every investigation follows one structure: a question or claim, a real-world test, a published verdict. We test in real creator or consumer conditions — our own money, our own workflows, our own time. We publish the verdict the evidence supports, including “partially true” and “not worth it”. No investigation is shelved because the conclusion is inconvenient.
02 · Editorial independence
One person holds final editorial authority over every verdict. No committee softens a conclusion. No sponsor previews one. Nobody outside the studio sees a verdict before the audience does.
03 · No payment for verdicts
What we never do
- Guarantee a positive verdict — to anyone, at any price
- Grant preview or approval rights over verdicts
- Accept payment in exchange for a conclusion
- Present sponsored content as an independent verdict
04 · Corrections & re-testing
If we get a material fact wrong, we correct it on the verdict page and date the correction. If a product or tool changes enough that a verdict may no longer hold, we re-test and record the result as version history on the same page — the original verdict stays visible. The archive is a record, not a highlight reel.
05 · Access, review units & disclosure
We accept early or extended access, review units, press access, and technical conversations. Every form of access, gift, or payment is disclosed clearly in the video, in the description, and on the verdict page — every verdict page carries its disclosure line, even when it reads “purchased independently”.
06 · Sponsored content
Paid partnerships are welcome when they respect the policy. Sponsorship buys placement, never conclusions. Sponsored segments are always labelled as such, and sponsored content is never presented as an independent verdict.
